RECENT EQUITY BYLAW UPDATE

Equity's Council encourages all members to be familiar with the bylaws that govern membership in our Association. Electronic copies of the current bylaws are always available in the "Document Library" section of EQUITYONLINE, and are available in print format upon request to the Association.
At its meeting of January 26, 2015, Council approved the following bylaw change:
Article 91 has been updated to include "fight director" in the categories of membership eligible for dues remission. This change corrects an unintentional omission.
The bylaw now reads:
"Regular members at age sixty-five (65) for performers, stage managers, directors, and choreographers and fight directors, at age fifty-five (55) for opera singers and at age forty-five (45) for ballet dancers, who have been regular members in good standing for at least ten (10) years, will be eligible for remission of basic dues but will continue to pay working dues."
Regular members of Equity in good standing for at least ten (10) years who want to know more about dues remission eligibility are encouraged to contact membership at caea.com.
