Theatre 20 in association with Canadian Musical Theatre Writers
Collective are currently accepting applications for their 2015/2016
Composium. Influenced by the BMI/Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop
and the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program at NYU's Tisch School
of the Arts, the Composium program will offer musical theatre composers
and lyricists world-class training. This subsidized course will be
taught by the renowned Leslie Arden and will meet bi-weekly from
September 2015 until January 2016. A small group of Composers and
Lyricists will be chosen to work with Leslie and embark on this unique
creative opportunity. In addition, guest artists may also be brought in
to work with the group., The goal of Composium is to encourage the
growth of Canadian Musical Theatre Writers; to nurture artists,
encourage collaborations, hone craft, provide world class mentorship all
in an intensive environment.
