Seeking STAGE MANAGER/PRODUCTION ASSISTANT (two-part combo position) for run
of Wallace Shawn’s AUNT DAN AND LEMON at Theatre Passe Muraille Backspace.
Show runs 6 perfs a week for 2 weeks (from September 12-25).

Equity INDIE 2.1 contract planned and expected. This is the first
professional production of this play in Toronto in almost 30 years. PREVIOUS
CONTRACT STAGE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Stage Manager duties include all duties typically expected with the
position, from attending all rehearsals to calling the show at performances.
Rehearsals will run three weeks (40hrs/full-time) from August 22-September
11, followed by two weeks of tech/dress and performances, beginning
September 12 (total 5 week contract).

MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL DATES. Exceptional organizational skills and
attention to detail is a must.

The ideal candidate will also be able to take on minimal Production
Assistant duties (e.g. sourcing show needs, assistance with scheduling
auditions and rehearsals, etc.) for additional payment in the months leading
up to the rehearsal period. This aspect is NOT full-time or union-related,
but will be compensated in line with Equity pay scale as concerns time spent
on these duties.
