Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Inclusivity, diversity, and nontraditional casting are central to Dauntless
City Theatre’s mandate, and we’ll be casting this production to reflect the
Toronto audience that we hope to attract. Performers of all ethnic
backgrounds, genders, and ability are encouraged to apply.

Additional information:
Dauntless City Theatre is seeking submissions for our summer productions of
Twelfth Night, directed by Sehar Bhojani and The Winter’s Tale, directed by
Scott Emerson Moyle, staged immersively in Toronto’s St. James Park. All
actors will play roles in both shows.

Please send an email to auditions at dauntlesscitytheatre.com with resume,
headshot, and a cover letter detailing your interest in the project and
which role(s) you’re submitting for.  These productions will make heavy use
of live music, so please make note of any proficiency as a singer and/or
instrumentalist.

Actors will be asked to prepare a monologue from Shakespeare or his
contemporaries, and may be asked to work with sides from the plays. Please
be familiar with both Twelfth Night and The Winter’s Tale. We thank all
applicants, however only those selected for an audition will be contacted.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
