Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: Festival
Antigonish welcomes submissions from performers from all ethnic,religious
and cultural
backgrounds.

Additional information:
Auditions are for Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre's 2017 Repertory
Company. Both Equity and Non-Equity performers will be seen. Non-Equity
performers will be considered for the Young Company, and may also be cast in
one main stage production. Sides from the production(s) will be provided for
the auditions, and for performers new to Festival Antigonish please prepare
one short (1-2 minute) contemporary monologue.

Auditions will be in Halifax. Video submissions will not be accepted.

Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre is committed to developing an
understanding and appreciation for theatre within the community through the
production of high quality professional work. Within this mandate we strive
to create a supportive environment for Nova Scotia artists to hone their
talents and present, produce and develop new work. The repertory nature of
Festival Antigonish supports a balanced selection of Canadian and
International works, providing an opportunity for established and emerging
theatre artists to take on new challenges. The Festival’s artistic choices
emphasize the legitimacy and unique character of Nova Scotian Theatre, and
provide all age groups in the community with access to a range of theatre.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
