Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement:
Our mission is to explore what it means to be queer, and the place of queer
individuals in society, by creating, developing, producing and presenting
theatrical work that places queer issues on a global canvas. We are
primarily a text-based theatre that trusts in the ability of the playwright
to wrestle with these questions.

We champion open-mindedness, authenticity and engagement. We embrace
diversity of all kinds, encourage and nurture queer youth, and strive to
build bridges between all socially marginalized groups and between queer and
non-queer communities.

Additional information:
the frank theatre company, Vancouver's professional queer theatre company,
is currently casting for our production of Falling In Time, to take place in
Fall 2018 in Vancouver and Toronto (precise dates TBD). The director is
Nigel Shawn Williams.

We are auditioning for two roles:

CHANG HYUN: 23-year-old Korean ESL student in Vancouver. Fresh from military
service. Rugged, angry, sexy and bitter.

EUN HA: 65-year-old Korean woman. Grounded, intelligent, unsentimental.

The play is primarily in English, with some Korean. We are looking for
actors who can speak both English and Korean.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members
cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of contract.
