MEMBER ADVISORY - CTA NEGOTIATIONS IN 2018

The Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) is set to expire June 24, 2018.
Negotiations between Equity and the Professional Association of Canadian
Theatres (PACT) will commence February 2018. Pre-negotiation discussions are
scheduled for November 2017.

Pre-negotiation topics under discussion between Equity and PACT include:
- Issues relating to cultural diversity in Canadian Theatre
- Determination of company category calculation (A, B, C designations etc.)
for in-town and touring productions
- TYA conditions
- Promotion and publicity

All Equity members are encouraged to contribute to the review and
negotiation of the CTA. Please email any comments or suggested proposals for
change or amendment on the pre-negotiation topics to Equity
(agreements at caea.com) by Friday, October 20, 2017.
