Mitch and Murray Productions is looking to cast two roles for the Vancouver
Premiere of “Smart People" by Lydia Diamond, running November 2nd - 18th at
Studio 16 in Vancouver.

Mitch and Murray Productions is a 12 time Jessie nominated theatre company,
known for producing hard hitting intelligent plays for a loyal Vancouver
audience. -  “Mitch and Murray Productions is a force to be reckoned with” -
Jerry Wasserman, The Vancouver Sun.

The roles:

Ginny: Female, 30s, Asian. Respected tenured professor of psychology at
Harvard; studies race and racial identity among Asian-American women;
whip-smart and self-aware, except when she's not; a hard-working
overachiever struggling to reconcile her professional successes and
ambitions with her more complicated and possibly self-destructive inner
life.

Valerie: Female, 20s, early 30s Black. Recent Acting MFA graduate;
confident, clever, and smart; she makes her own opportunities; witty and
headstrong; knows who she is and how she wants to be treated; a gifted
actress, though at times feels misunderstood in the entertainment community.
