EVERYBODY COUNTS - FIVE QUESTIONS, TWO MINUTES

In 2015, with help from members across Canada, the Equity Census, a
ground-breaking project, gathered demographic information relating to age,
culture and ethnicity, disability, gender identity and sexual orientation
across all of Equity's membership. Almost 60% of the Equity membership
completed the Census!

All members who joined the Association since 2015, or who missed the
Census the first time, are invited to participate in this innovative
project by answering a brief 5-question survey. The questionnaire covers
only the fundamental demographic data we need in order for Equity to
effectively advocate on its membership. Member information is confidential
and will only ever be reviewed or disseminated in an aggregated format.

The ongoing collection of information about the diversity of Equity's
membership allows the Association to measure the impact of member
diversity on work opportunities, engagement patterns and income earned, on
an ongoing basis.

Members need to log in to the Members Only zone of EQUITYONLINE. If you do

Privacy: Demographic information will be treated as strictly confidential
and will only ever be reviewed or disseminated in an aggregated format.
This data will be stored and protected in a distinct table, separate from
any other member data, with anonymous links to ensure that it is used in
statistical analysis only. It will be protected with the same high
security standards used for all personal data, as set out in Equity's
Personal
