Ethno-cultural mandate or ethno-cultural casting statement: The Foster
Festival is dedicated to reflecting Canada’s rich diversity onstage for
audiences across Ontario. Diverse artists of all backgrounds regardless of
race, orientation, or personal beliefs are encouraged to apply.

Additional information:
The Foster Festival invites submissions for its upcoming general auditions
as part of the Ontario Summer Theatre auditions in Toronto, November 6 & 7,
2017.

Ontario Summer Theatre (OST) is once again holding joint auditions in
Toronto this fall. Selected artists will be given the opportunity to
audition for artistic directors from several of the province's flagship
summer theatres simultaneously. Participating companies include: the Blyth
Festival, Driftwood Theatre, the Foster Festival, Globus Theatre, Highland
Festival, Lighthouse Festival, and Port Stanley Festival.

Participants will be asked to prepare two contrasting monologues of their
choice; these can include contemporary Canadian works, classical pieces, and
musical theatre. Artists are encouraged to try to choose at least one piece
that features approaches to comedy.

As a company dedicated to celebrating the work of Norm Foster, and exploring
extraordinary moments in the lives of ordinary Canadians,  The Foster
Festival is looking for actors who possess strong comedic skills balanced by
the willingness to explore the fullness of Foster's wonderful characters.
Artists selected for an audition wishing to be considered by The Foster
Festival  are strongly encouraged to include at least one Canadian monologue
in their audition.

The Foster Festival is dedicated to reflecting Canada’s rich diversity

apply.

Only CAEA members will be considered. Only those selected for an audition
