[CANUFNET] Tree root extensions

Hello,
 
I would be interested in receiving information on the research available
regarding:
a) the distances that tree roots of various species have been documented
to extend from a tree; and 
b) buffer distances required from major soil disruptions in order to
protect the soil moisture relationships of the roots, not just the roots
themselves.
