Good day

If the stump is in an area where it will be a problem, then it is up to BC Hydro to remove the stump. There has never been a problem getting them to do this. They also have a replacement program in many cases.

cheers

Subject: [CANUFNET] Hydro removals and stumping

Hello,
We are interested to find out what process other municipalities follow regarding stumping and hydro tree removals. If the hydro utility in your city is responsible for removing trees from under wires (when they cannot be successfully trimmed), does your municipal urban forestry department foot the bill for stump grinding or does the utility complete the entire job at their own cost? Thanks.
Shelley
