[CANUFNET] Hydro removals and stumping

In Guelph, this rarely arises. I believe it’s because Guelph Forestry staff remove trees before they get so sketchy that Guelph Hydro would request their removal. When it does arise, the situation is the same as John described in Brampton.

Hello,
We are interested to find out what process other municipalities follow regarding stumping and hydro tree removals.  If the hydro utility in your city is responsible for removing trees from under wires (when they cannot be successfully trimmed), does your municipal urban forestry department foot the bill for stump grinding or does the utility complete the entire job at their own cost? Thanks.
