Hi Peter
We have thousands of tree data in one Hectare forest plots in different parts of Ontario.
all species over 4 cm DBH have been measured but not always for crown width as that was a later protocol
The program is called
Go Global
you can reach this data. www.acer-acre.ca and search to add more trees to your research.
Great to hear from you

We will have high-“n” regressions for estimating crown width from DBH for American elm, Norway maple, and European linden. I know already, though, that the relationships are not tight, so even with high “n”, there will be considerable uncertainty in estimates. We can share these regressions only in September or October, when data collection has finished.
