[CANUFNET] Petition to protect ash from EAB in Thunder Bay

Hello colleagues, our city of Thunder Bay recently found EAB in a few trees
and we have since found it in several more traps. The infestation is
established but it’s still new.

Our city staff, led by Shelley Vescio, has been *extremely* proactive in
preparing for an infestation. Our citizens are well informed, our
inventory is up to date (our street trees are 25% ash!) and our staff is
fully aware of the future costs.

However, our city council is dithering on deciding to initiate a plan to
protect many eligible trees and remove and replace the others in a planned
and controlled progression.

I’m hoping that some of you will take a few moments to sign this petition.
If any of you, particularly from those cities already affected by EAB, have
any additional wisdom for us to pass on to our decision makers, that would
be more than welcome.
