Yes I agree the nurseries get and want what they can sell. I once had a client that asked for a fast growing tree and trusted me to go and pick the type and the tree itself.  The nursery person said she appreciated the fact that I picked the tall thinnest tree with good structure and wished people would buy the trees that way more often.
