[CANUFNET] Greenspace Alliance in Ottawa fighting to save heritage elm tree on Parliament Hill

Here is an update to the post that I sent to the list last Friday (only
posted to this list today, as you know).
The Greenspace Alliance has connected with the Elm Recovery Project
[1]of Ontario (housed at U of Guelph) and we are gathering details on
the tree so it may be registered in that project's database.
CBC news covered the info session that attracted 28 people on Sunday
afternoon (yesterday) the elm tree

Paul Johanis, chair of the Greenspace Alliance has written two letters
in the last 24 hours to officials in the two federal bodies that are
responsible for deciding the fate of the elm tree:
 * Letter to new CEO of the National Capital Commission
