[CANUFNET] Arborist climbing helmets.

Does anyone know if there is a requirement for arborist to have a type 1 or type 2 helmet for climbing and or working from an arial lift.  A question was brought up about issue. In doing some research i have found that here in BC WorkSafeBC mentions type 1 and 2 helmets but its quite vague. Type one is top down protection and type two is side impact protection. There are lots of options for arborist with type one helmets but not type two with side protection. Im wondering if this is that the manufactures just haven’t caught up with the standards yet or if it's really is not a safety concern and type 1 helmets are sufficient protection for arborist climbing or woking in areal lifts. 

Dose anyone have any information or suggestions as to any info on this topic. I will try calling WorkSafeBC to see what they say about the arborist helmets available at arborist specific stores.
