Hello Marie-Paule,

I work for the City of Richmond in BC. We have an effective tree protection
bylaw for trees on private property that is strictly enforced. Details can

On November 17, 2021 staff recommended an amendment to increase the maximum
fine from $10,000 to $50,000 for an offence. The recommendation passed
at Planning Committee and will go to Council in December. See the following
