[CANUFNET] Urban forest NGOs

Hi everyone,

I am a Master of Environmental Studies student at Dalhousie University. Under the supervision of Dr. Peter Duinker, I am currently conducting research on the contributions of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in municipal forest decision-making.

As a part of this research, I am trying to compile a list of Canadian urban-forest NGOs to inform my case study selection. To my knowledge, no database exists that houses this sort of information.

While I conduct my search, I hope to not miss any groups making important contributions to local urban forest efforts. As such, I am asking that this network assist me by sending names of NGOs in your local area doing this sort of work. I’m interested in groups whose primary focus is urban forestry but additionally environmental NGOs who have historically contributed to urban-forest programs.
