[CANUFNET] solutions for de-icing products around trees on sidewalks and roadways.

Good afternoon,
I was looking for information on eco friendly products for de-icing pathways in parks  that are eco friendly to vegetation and pets.  Anyone out there using something other than rock salt, calcium chloride ect?
