Hi Megan,
iTree Eco (the flagship program) does work in Canada. I will note it is
somewhat limited in terms of required air pollution data (there was a large
cross-Canada upload coordinated back in 2010, but not much since then, so
you may be limited in which years act as the basis for your analysis, this
is not necessarily a deal-breaker). Some of the other tools also work (e.g.
the much more simple MyTree, as well as iTree Design and iTree Canopy), but
I don't think iTree Landscape or iTree Planting work in Canada.
One other thing to keep in mind is that all of the tree modelling (e.g.
size and growth conversion factors) are based on US field data (which is
very robust). Many cities in Canada have made use of it and I don't think
there is any Canada-specific tool that would be better (especially in
regards to ongoing development and user support, which in my experience has
been fantastic). If you want to take a deeper dive into the program and
methods -- this is the best paper with lots of appendices of supporting
info: https://research.fs.usda.gov/treesearch/63636
I've used several of the iTree tools in an Alberta context and know others
across Canada who make use of it, so would be happy to connect if you have
additional questions.

The Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta is located at ᐊᓯᓂᐢᑲᐤ
ᓰᐲᓯᐢ (asiniskaw sipisis - Stoney Creek) in Treaty 6 territory and a
traditional meeting ground for many Indigenous peoples. This land provided
a travelling route and home to the Maskwacis Nêhiyawak, Niitsitapi, Nakoda,
and Tsuut'ina Nations, the Métis, and other Indigenous peoples. Their
spiritual and practical relationships to the land create a rich heritage
for our learning and our life as a community.
