The Ottawa Supportive Housing Network has been busy with some exciting
projects over the past few months and I am writing today to invite you to a
special event on November 14, 2007 at the University of Ottawa.

 

The Network recently entered into a partnership with the University of
Ottawa, Carleton University and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
to conduct a three-year research project on supportive housing in Ottawa. It
is a groundbreaking project – it is the first collaboration of its kind and
will generate new knowledge and approaches for improving social services
generally. It will produce an evaluation tool that could be adapted by other
social service agencies and, as a result, we believe this project would be
of interest to many of our community partners. We are also about to release
a suite of new information products on Supportive Housing along with a new
website, all under the banner of “Housing Plus.” 

 

The event will be attended by our community partners, other interested
parties and the news media. It will give us the opportunity to give you an
overview of the research project and share with you our new information
materials. Food and refreshments will be provided.
