Je ne réussis pas trouver une version en français de ce canulard, mais vous trouverez à la page ci-dessous un texte en anglais (extrait inclus ci-bas) qui explique pourquoi cette stratégie ne peut pas fonctionner:

Please check the Snopes website or another credible source to see whether you're being sucked in before trying to recruit others for a futile crusade like this. Sorry if this sounds like an old grump preaching - I appreciate the good intentions of those who send a message to a large group of people in situations like this, but there are enough hoax debunking sites out there to nip well-intentioned but quixotic campaigns in the bud.

Also, while I'm on my soapbox, here's a suggestion for *all* email users: it's not wise to send a message to a large "TO" list; everyone whose name and email address appear on the message (I've deleted them below) is likely to start wondering how come they're suddenly receiving a ton of spam. Exposing the email addresses of a group of recipients without their permission is like putting up a list with all of your friends' phone numbers and addresses on the bulletin board at the local grocery store. [Five people will be pissed off at me for saying that, and five hundred people will thank me for saying what they wanted to say but were too shy...] 
 
 [HINT :  use the BCC method of protecting the identity of your multiple recipients from mailing list harvesters.]
