Nouvelle initiative d’Action-Logement/Action Housing

Prix de reconnaissance en logement

Pour distribution immédiate

5 août 2008, Ottawa : Action-Logement/Action Housing lance une nouvelle
initiative afin de faire reconnaître les meilleures pratiques exemplaires
dans le domaine du logement, et ce, surtout dans le cadre de la lutte contre
l’itinérance et la population mal-logée. Cette nouvelle initiative prend la
forme d’un Prix de reconnaissance en logement qui sera remis lors du
Cocktail bénéfice annuel, soit le mardi 23 septembre 2008, à la salle
Jean-Pigott de l’Hôtel de ville d’Ottawa.

« Ce nouveau Prix est une occasion par excellence d’identifier des
organismes ou des individus qui travaillent très fort à enrayer la pauvreté,
et ce, surtout au niveau du logement. Nous voulons célébrer les réalisations
importantes dans le domaine du logement visant les sans-logis et les
personnes mal-logées à Ottawa » a affirmé la responsable du Comité du Prix
de reconnaissance, Denise Lemire, bénévole pour Action-Logement et aussi
membre du Comité du Cocktail bénéfice annuel depuis ses débuts.

Les mises en candidature peuvent être présentées par un organisme officiel
ou par un individu ou groupe non affilié à un organisme. Pour soumettre une
candidature, il suffit de remplir le formulaire à cet effet et de le faire
parvenir à Action-Logement/Action Housing au plus tard le vendredi 29 août
2008, à HYPERLINK

lauréate du Prix de reconnaissance en logement recevra un montant de 500$ et
une plaque commémorative.

Action-Logement/Action Housing: New Initiative

 Recognition Award in Housing

For immediate distribution

August 5, 2008, Ottawa: Action-Logement/Action Housing is launching a new
initiative to recognize best practices in the field of housing with a
special focus on homelessness initiatives and work with the inadequately
housed population. This new initiative is an Award of Recognition in Housing
which will be announced at the Annual Benefit Cocktail, to be held on
Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008, in the Jean-Pigott Foyer of the Ottawa City
Hall.

"This new Award is an excellent opportunity to recognize organizations or
individuals who work very hard to alleviate poverty, and more specifically
in housing. We want to celebrate the important accomplishments in the field
of the housing pertaining to the homelessness and to those who are poorly
housed in Ottawa," asserted Denise Lemire, who is responsible for the Award
Committee and who has been a long standing volunteer for the Annual Benefit
Cocktail planning committee.

Applications for the award can be submitted by an official organization or
by either an individual or a group. To submit a candidacy, please complete
the application form and send it to Action-Logement/Action Housing by
Friday, August 29th, 2008, at HYPERLINK

recipient will receive a $500 prize and a commemorative plaque.
