The Liberal, Bloc Quebecois and New Democratic Party made an historic
announcement earlier today that they had agreed on the basic principles of a
new coalition government at the federal level in Canada. They have agreed
that an economic stimulus package must be a “top priority” of the proposed
new government, and that housing will be one of the key items in that
stimulus package. All three parties made significant commitments in the last
federal election to make new investments in affordable housing a top
priority. 

 

The two key documents of the proposed coalition government are attached.

 

There is no guarantee that the new coalition government will actually take
office, but the next few days will make for extremely interesting times.
