Sensible Drug Policy

A PUBLIC FORUM ON HARM REDUCTION AND DRUG POLICY

 

                               Monday February 4, 2008

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm in OTTAWA

The Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy will be lobbying MPs February 4th urging them to consider drug use as a health issue, not a criminal justice issue. Criminalizing drug users doesn't work. Harm reduction does. Outreach programs, needle exchanges, safer inhalation programs and Vancouver's supervised injection site are reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS and HCV and increasing the number of people accessing treatment. 

 

Join us for a community forum after the lobby day! Hear how representatives from every federal respond to the panelists and make your voice heard. 

 

Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy (CSSDP) and The AIDS Committee of Ottawa (ACO) have invited a panel of drug use experts, health experts, and front line workers, for a public forum on harm reduction, public health and an integrated strategy for drug use.
