I think that there are two sides to this story.  The people most victimized by the safety issues that Safer Communities and Neighbourhood legislation seeks to address are poor and vulnerable tenants living in buildings with are terrorized by drug dealers.  Could you please send this out too?

Attached are two posters for the upcoming information session on the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act (Bill 106) on February 5th, 2009

This proposed legislation will allow tenants to be evicted without a proper hearing and will allow rental properties to be shut down.  The legislation will have a significant impact in contributing towards  homelessness and  the loss of affordable housing in our community.  This session is for community agencies who want to know more about the impact this legislation will have on their clients and agencies.   Details are attached for information and registration. (Note: both the French and English poster are on the same attachment).
