Dear Community Members and Community Partners



The Ottawa Poverty Reduction Network invites community members who are
living in poverty to participate in an information/action planning meeting
about the latest poverty reduction initiatives happening across Canada,
Ontario and in Ottawa.  Please help us spread the word about this meeting,
to be held on Monday June 22nd, starting at 11am at 171 George Street. Lunch
will be served and bus tickets/transportation costs available.  Details are
contained on the attached poster.  Registration is encouraged  contact Jenn
at 613 737-7600 ext. 3477 or at ochai at magma.ca.



Agency representatives are welcomed to attend as a support to the community
members they are empowering.



The City of Ottawa will be consulting on a municipal poverty reduction
strategy in the late summer/autumn 2009.  People living in poverty need to
shape this strategy. This meeting on June 22 will be an opportunity for
people to plan for how they can get involved.



Please post the attached poster and pass this email to people you think
would be interested.
