Component (SDPP-D) call for proposals is now open
The SDPP-D provides project funding to the not-for-profit sector for
projects that meet the social development needs and aspirations of people
with disabilities, by supporting innovative solutions to remove barriers
through improved access to programs and services. Not-for-profit
organizations are invited to apply for funding through calls for proposals.

Stream 1: Social Development Projects
Social Development Projects must address one of the following three themes:
Promoting Accessibility
* To develop and/or identify effective approaches to promoting
accessibility as a fundamental principle for achieving equality and
including people with disabilities (i.e., innovative technology, emergency
management/preparedness, etc.)
Seniors with Disabilities
* To build on active living approaches (not only as ways to avoid
disability) in order to enhance quality of life for people aging with a
disability, aging into a disability, and seniors with disabilities.
* To develop inclusive communities through innovative tools, best
practices and models of full participation and integration, including
overcoming fear and stigmatization of disability among seniors.
Youth with Disabilities
* To bring together youth/student organizations and disability
organizations to identify ways to improve inclusion and opportunities to
achieve equality.
* To develop innovative and sustainable products, services and support
mechanisms for youth with disabilities to enable full and active
citizenship.
Stream 2: Accommodation Fund
To enable people with disabilities to fully participate in keys events and
conferences by ensuring that the events are accessible.

Le Programme de partenariats pour le développement social Composante
personnes handicapées (PPDS-PH) finance des projets du secteur sans but
lucratif qui visent à répondre aux besoins et aux attentes des personnes
handicapées en matière de développement social, et qui favorisent des
solutions novatrices visant à améliorer laccès aux programmes et aux
services.
Les organismes sans but lucratif sont invités à présenter une demande de

Volet 1 : Projets de développement social
Les projets de développement social doivent porter sur lun des trois thèmes
suivants :
Promotion de laccessibilité
* Élaborer ou trouver des façons efficaces de promouvoir
laccessibilité en tant que principe fondamental sur lequel reposent
légalité et linclusion des personnes handicapées (technologie novatrice,
gestion/planification durgence, etc.).
Aînés handicapés
* Tirer parti des approches axées sur un mode de vie actif (non
seulement comme moyens de prévenir linvalidité) afin daméliorer la qualité
de vie des aînés qui sont handicapés ou qui deviennent invalides en
vieillissant.
* Créer des collectivités inclusives (au moyen doutils novateurs, de
pratiques exemplaires et de modèles de pleine participation et
dintégration) et, notamment, venir à bout de la peur ou de la
stigmatisation de linvalidité chez les aînés.
Jeunes handicapés
* Réunir les organismes daide aux jeunes, aux étudiants et aux
personnes handicapées afin de trouver des façons daméliorer linclusion et
les chances datteindre légalité.
* Mettre au point des produits et des services novateurs pour aider de
façon durable les jeunes handicapés à devenir des citoyens à part entière.
Volet 2 : Fonds dadaptation
Lobjectif du Fond d'adaptation est le suivant :
Permettre aux personnes handicapées de participer pleinement à des
conférences et à dautres événements importants en veillant à ce que les
lieux et les activités soient accessibles.
