A: Ottawa’s 2nd Timeraiser!
The Timeraiser - presented in part by Volunteer Ottawa and United Way Ottawa
- is a unique initiative coming to Ottawa on November 14th. HYPERLINK

The three main objectives of the Timeraiser are to:
• Connect your organization to skilled and energetic volunteers
• Raise awareness about your organization in the community
• Bring together the arts and not-for-profit sectors to create community
connections
The HYPERLINK "http://www.timeraiser.ca" \nTimeraiser is part volunteer
fair, part silent art auction and part night on the town. Throughout the
evening, participants meet with agencies, like yours, and explore the
exciting, innovative and meaningful volunteer roles you have to offer.
Participants pledge to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours (over the next 12
months) with the organization(s) they connect with at the Timeraiser. Some
will pledge more. Their hours become the currency that they can then use to
bid on artwork in the silent auction.
At the end of the evening, we will have raised 5,000 volunteer hours,
invested $15,000 in the careers of local artists, and engaged 250+
volunteers in the community.

Le Bénévotemps est en partie une foire du bénévolat, en partie une enchère
silencieuse d'objets d'art et en partie une soirée en ville. À travers la
soirée, les participants vont à la rencontre d'agences, comme la vôtre, et
explorent avec elles les rôles innovateurs et significatifs de bénévoles
qu'elles ont à offrir.
Les participants s'engagent pour un minimum de 20 heures de bénévolat (sur
les 12 prochains mois) avec l'organisme ou les organismes qu'ils contactent
lors du Timeraiser. Certains s'engageront pour plus. Leurs heures
deviendront la monnaie avec laquelle ils vont enchérir sur les objets d'art
lors des enchères silencieuses.
À la fin de la soirée nous aurons levé 5000 heures de bénévolat, investi
15.000 $ dans les carrières d'artistes locaux et engagés plus de 250
bénévoles dans la communauté.
