*To ensure that there is no confusion I am resending this notice so that
Persons with Disabilities understand that they must be under the age of 65
and that they must be at risk!*

*For Immediate Release*

*High Risk Disabled Under 65 No Longer Need Bracelets to Get H1N1 Flu Shot*

Dear Community Members,

I am pleased to inform you that I have been advised by Councillor Diane
Deans office that effective today *persons with physical disabilities under
the age of 65 who are at risk,* will no longer require a bracelet for the
H1N1 flu shot.

*Persons with physical disabilities who qualify* can now just show up at a
scheduled clinic.

I have also been informed that when *persons with physical disabilities who
qualify for the shot* including those who are blind show up at a clinic that
they will be ushered to the front of the line.

This is great news for those who were not able to get bracelets, those who
were not able to book or afford +++ Para bookings and for those who are not
physically able to wait in long line ups.

We expect that the same process will be followed when the clinic open to the
community at large!

A special thanks to City Councillors and Staff who took our concerns
seriously and who worked to provide safe and equal access for persons with
disabilities who have chosen to get the shot!

I would also like to thank all those who took the time to contact their
Councillors and or who contacted the media with your concerns!
