(formerly Day of Caring)

United Way Ottawa and Volunteer Ottawa/Bénévoles Ottawa are proud to present
Community Action Days. As an expansion of the original Day of Caring
program, Community Action Days offers more opportunities and flexibility to
organizations and volunteers who wish to get involved.

WHAT'S NEW ?

*         THE NAME - COMMUNITY ACTION DAYS (CAD)
The continued success of this annual event, with more and more interest
expressed by both local organizations and by volunteers, is behind this
exciting change. Keep reading to find out more!  

*         THE FORMAT - FOUR DAYS TO CHOOSE FROM
With four Community Action Days this year, from September to December 2009,
you get more choices. Take part in one or all four - it's up to you. 

*         THE PROGRAM - NO MORNING PROGRAM 
Each Community Action Day will begin with volunteers arriving directly at
their chosen agency. 

*         AND MUCH MORE!
Community Action Days offers four opportunities for workplace and government
employees to volunteer their time, skills and efforts to help community
organizations across the city. 

We provide the person power; you provide the project. The opportunities are
endless: entertaining clients, gardening, sorting clothing/food donations,
reading to children/seniors, providing IT support, conducting market
research, planning an event, offering administrative help, cooking or
serving food to clients ... 
you name it!

de vous présenter les Journées d'action communautaire.  Expansion du
programme original des Journées d'entraide, les Journées d'action
communautaire offrent aux organisations et aux bénévoles qui désirent
s'impliquer un plus grand nombre d'occasions et une plus grande flexibilité.

*         LE NOM - JOURNÉES D'ACTION COMMUNAUTAIRE (JAC) 
Le succès continu de cet événement annuel, envers lequel de plus en plus
d'organisations locales et de bénévoles expriment leur intérêt, est à
l'origine de ce changement passionnant.  Plus de détails suivent !   

*         LE FORMAT - CHOIX DE QUATRE JOURNÉES
Avec la tenue de quatre journées d'action communautaire cette année, de
septembre à décembre 2009, vous disposez d'un plus grand choix.  Prenez part
à l'une ou aux quatre de ces journées - le choix vous appartient.  

*         LE PROGRAMME  - PAS DE PROGRAMME EN MATINÉE 
Chaque journée d'action communautaire débutera avec l'arrivée des bénévoles
directement chez leur agence choisie. 

*         ET PLUS ENCORE!
Les journées d'action communautaire offrent aux employés des milieux de
travail et du gouvernement quatre occasions d'offrir bénévolement leur
temps, leurs compétences et leurs efforts pour aider des organisations
communautaires partout en ville.    

Nous fournissons les participants ; vous fournissez le projet.  Les
occasions sont illimitées : divertir vos clients, jardiner, trier des dons
d'aliments ou de vêtements, faire la lecture aux enfants et aux aînés, aider
au niveau des TI, réaliser une étude de marché, planifier un événement,
offrir de l'aide administrative, préparer ou servir des aliments aux
clients.  les possibilités sont illimitées!

Prenez note des dates des quatre journées d'action communautaire de cette
année : 

30 septembre . 27 octobre . 19 novembre . 9 décembre
