Hello everyone,

 

Here are the posters for Madeleine Meilleur’s and Phil McNeely’s Oct 1st
bilingual consultation on what should be in Ontario’s Long Term Affordable
Housing Strategy, just sent out by Dominique Paris-MacKay who is involved in
the event. There’s a great group of local agencies involved. 

 

There will be two moderators assisting two groups – one in English and one
in French – to work through the 5 consultation questions. I’ve included the
Housing Network of Ontario Declaration which the Alliance to end
Homelessness has signed on to. Note: The poster files are quite large so
here are the details:

 

*       It takes place Thursday, October 1st at 6 p.m. at the new Montfort
School - 350 Den Haag St, Ottawa - Bus # 12

Here is another opportunity to speak out about the urgent need for
affordable, safe housing in Ottawa. You are invited to a public consultation
with MPP for Ottawa-Vanier Madeleine Meilleur and MPP for Ottawa-Orléans
Phil McNeely on the evening of October 1.  Please see invitation attached
for details and distribute broadly. 

 

We need to hear from people who are most directly affected by the affordable
housing crisis in Ottawa. We need to hear your stories and your suggestions
on how to make things better. 

 

Financial assistance is available for transportation and childcare.
