Subject: Red Tents for a National Housing Strategy - please distribute
widely!

As you may have heard,
<http://www.redtents.org/learn.php?id=38&page=Bill%20C-304> Bill C-304 will
be going before Parliament in just a few weeks. It’s a major opportunity for
a national solution to the problem of homelessness. Please forward this to
any (and all) organizations working on anti-poverty and housing issues who
would be interested in working together to get this bill passed. Thanks!

John Richardson, Executive Director, <http://www.pivotlegal.org/> Pivot
Legal Society.

Together, we can end homelessness!

The <http://www.redtents.org/> Red Tent Campaign is inviting organizations
across Canada to join in creating a national movement to end homelessness.

Red Tent will be distributing red tents and tarps to partner organizations
in cities across Canada, and your organization can
<mailto:housingnow at redtents.org> sign up to use and distribute them. Red
tents and tarps can be given to homeless people in your community, providing
shelter and asserting their

defendrights> constitutional right to shelter. Or, they can be used in
<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDUPsCXUt_E&feature=player_embedded> direct
actions to raise public awareness of the need for a national housing
strategy to end homelessness. Or both!
