This perpetuates a stereotype that LGBTQ / youth are comfortable only in
expressing themselves in slang, course language, which can make others
uncomfortable, and even purposefully offensive.  Using respectful language
is an unwritten rule that we use in all other postings on this site.
  In respecting people, we should use respectful language.
  Just because some people are comfortable with derogatory terms doesn't
mean that all people are.
  Respect for people does not have to mean agreement with choices a person
makes, or with language a person uses.

Shag is the act of "hooking up", "making babies", "reproducing" etc.. just  
slang for it
