 Two of the four sessions of the two-day forum *“Housing, Health and Human
Rights: Exploring the connections in Canada and globally”* will be webcast –
with live streaming and on-line archive after the event.



Keynote speaker for the forum is *Miloon Kothari*, former United Nations’
Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing. Other experts
include *Audrey
Chapman*, Professor of Community Medicine and Healthcare at the University
of Connecticut School of Medicine; and *Michael Shapcott*, Director of
Affordable Housing and Social Innovation at the Wellesley Institute.

A  public forum with Miloon Kothari and Canadian and international speakers
and discussants to review Canada's progress in meeting its international
housing rights obligations.

Public presentation: “Making rights matter - reflections on a decade as
special rapporteur”

*Friday, January 22, 1 pm-2:30 pm*, 6th Floor Auditorium, Health Sciences

Mr. Kothari will deliver reflections on his decade as the first United
Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Adequate Housing, including his
experiences conducting fact-finding missions, and observations on the impact
of his work.
