strengths of local providers and housing advocates with the strategic
interests of all orders of government. 

CHRA has an immediate requirement to fill the position of an Office
Administrator. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of this position

As the sole administrative support, this role will form the glue of the

Your top skill is the ability to multi-task. You are able to maintain

how to deal with sensitive and confidential information.  You enjoy people
and are a natural at building relationships and delighting both internal and
external customers with a “whatever it takes” approach.  

 

This position requires a critical thinker, a team player, and someone who is
very detail-oriented, and enjoys promoting CHRA and its values to the
community, our partners and our members. Computer skills should be above
average and you have advanced skills utilizing web-based technology.

 

The successful candidate will support all functional areas of the
organization including Board/Governance, finance, human resources,
information technologies, event and logistics support. We are looking for a
self-starter, whose underlying character is to be highly organized and with
a methodical approach to details. We are seeking an individual with
confidence and pride in what they undertake and an intuition to simply know
what needs to get done next and how to go about doing it.  We are a small
team, and each new member will bring critical bench strength to all the
organization accomplishes. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

*	Responsible for day to day administration and smooth running of the
national office including Vendor liaising and management
*	Manage meeting logistics for Board of Directors and Committees 
*	Manage the member database and renewals process
*	Process all mail and courier requirements as well as our offsite
records storage
*	Keep up to date customer management and event registration systems
(both web-based)
*	Assist with special projects and new initiatives
*	Undertake general bookkeeping including but not limited to, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank deposits etc
*	Other duties and responsibilities that may be required 

 

 

Requirements

 

*	Minimum of 3 years experience in an office environment
*	Team player, with the ability to multi-task and work under tight
deadlines
*	Must have above average computer skills, particularly with the 2007
suite of Microsoft products. 
*	Fluently bilingual in both official languages with strong verbal and
written communication skills 
*	College diploma in either office administration, event management or
a comparable field or equivalent experience.   
*	Accounting experience and knowledge of Netsuite Accounting & CRM (or
similar accounting package) will be considered a strong asset.
*	Ability and willingness for some travel

 

 

This position has an annual salary of $40,000, a contribution to a
retirement plan and an exceptional benefit plan.
