Please see the *IMPORTANT* notice *below* sent on behalf of OC Transpo
Accessible Transit Specialist, Kathy Riley regarding the closures of the
local and south elevators at Blair Station starting June 14th!



Please note that persons with mobility issues who need access to these
elevators are being asked to push any of the *EMERGENCY CALL BOX BUTTONS.*

Please be advised that beginning June 14 until August 30, 2010, the local
and south elevators at Blair Station will be closed down at the same time
for modernization. The north elevator will remain in regular operation for
the duration of this work.

Customers who today use the local elevator will travel between the mall and
Blair Station via the existing sidewalks. Signage will be put in place to
direct customers accordingly.

Transit Operations will manage customer impacts resulting from the south
elevator closure until the elevator is restored to normal service. This will
include the provision of on-site customer assistance when required by
routing service from the local platform to the eastbound Transitway platform
or vice-versa, and informing bus operators so they can provide assistance
such as re-routing customers who may be affected.

Please refer to the attached diagram for reference.
