Here's the information regarding the event.  Let me know if you need anything else.  Any help you could provide spreading the word would be amazing and greatly needed.  Huge appreciations.

            On Thursday September 15, 2011 at the Glebe Community Centre (175 Third Ave), The Sexual Assault Support Centre of Ottawa (SASC) will be hosting its 28th Anniversary Fundraiser: SASC Soirée 2011.  Kimothy Walker, CTV's weekend evening news anchor and producer, will be the evening's Special Guest Speaker.   Stephan Keyes of CTV will also be there as our Auctioneer. Some of the auction items include: an NAC voucher, gift certificates for Mother Tongue Books, Petit Bills Bistro and Victoire Boutique, 2 subscriptions to performances at the Gladstone Theatre and more! Also, we will be performing excerpts from "Our Unspoken Stories", a book of stories written by the women in our Women and War Program Art Group.  For this fundraiser, we aim to raise $10,000 which would do a great deal at our centre. For example, it could completely fund our Women and War Art Group, or 4 general support groups, or information workshops for a year...

About SASC:
            For over 28 years, The Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) of Ottawa, a registered charity, has been working tirelessly to end violence against women by providing the following free services:

*        A crisis support line (613)234-2266
*        Individual and group counselling
*        Off-site support
*        Advocacy
*        Accompaniments to court, hospital and police
*        Public education
*        Volunteer Training
*        Young Women at Risk Program
*        Women and War Program

SASC is very aware that many of you are tied up with other commitments, but I hope that you might still consider supporting our Centre and the women in the community.  Sponsored tables are available for $250 (6 people, $50 off), and we will have such sponsorship recognized at the event.  Individuals can also provide their support individually by purchasing Community Tickets:  If you would like to come but are unable to attend, you can always purchase a ticket to be donated to a woman in the community.  Tax receipts can be provided for ticket purchases and donations of gifts too.

We hope to see community members such as yourselves at SASC's Soirée 2011!
