Hydro Ottawa recently announced the launch of a new $100,000 funding initiative called the Brighter Tomorrows Fund. The fund, which will be administered in coordination with United Way Ottawa, will enable frontline agencies that serve people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless to invest in energy-efficient technologies or products. By supporting projects such as the replacement of old windows, the installation of high-efficiency heating and cooling systems or the procurement of new and more energy-efficient appliances, the fund will help agencies reduce energy costs, improve their facilities and provide more comfortable living spaces.

Le fonds, que l'entreprise administrera en collaboration avec Centraide Ottawa, aidera les organismes de première ligne qui offrent des services aux sans-abris et aux personnes qui risquent de le devenir à investir dans les technologies et les produits éconergétiques.
