		Funding Allocation Process for CAPITAL PROJECTS
		
		The City of Ottawa is inviting funding proposals from local non-profit agencies that serve individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  The funds come from the federal Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS) and are administered by the City of Ottawa’s Housing Services Branch.

		Agencies may compete for funding for projects that would help agencies to acquire or renovate facilities where emergency shelter, client services, or housing with supports are provided to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  A total of $800,700 is available to be allocated, and projects must be completed within the next three years.  In the selection process, preference will be given to projects that would help to maintain the infrastructure of the homelessness services system.

		There is no specific lower or upper limit on the amount of funding for which agencies may apply.  The total amount available for all homelessness agencies in Ottawa is $800,700, to be used over the next three years. 

		The City will make allocation decisions in consultation with the Homelessness Community Capacity Building (CCB) Steering Committee, within the larger context of the homelessness services system in Ottawa.  The criteria that will be used to assess the proposals are shown in Section Four of the Funding Call document.
