Hydro Ottawa's Brighter Tomorrows Fund Supports Registered Charities working in the homelessness, shelter and warmth sector

Hydro Ottawa's Brighter Tomorrows Community Investment Program aims to support the communities in which Hydro Ottawa operates in a targeted and meaningful manner. Hydro Ottawa has teamed up with United Way to launch an innovative community investment fund called the Hydro Ottawa's Brighter Tomorrows Fund. Funded with the corporate matching dollars from Hydro Ottawa's annual United Way workplace campaign, it is designed to support frontline Registered Charities that serve people who are homeless, or at risk of being homeless, to invest in small scale energy-efficient technologies or products. 

We are looking to the community we serve to help identify capital projects - those with the greatest potential for making housing and shelter facilities energy-efficient. Funding proposals are now being solicited and will be reviewed by a committee made up of representatives from Hydro Ottawa, United Way Ottawa and the local community. 

2012 Call for Proposals Timeline:

*	Call for Proposals Issued: April 16, 2012
*	Deadline for Proposal Submissions: May 18, 2012
*	Applicants Notified: June 15, 2012
*	Funding Announcement: End of June, 2012
