BURSARIES AVAILABLE

The Centre for Research and Education on Women and Work is now recruiting for the 2012-13 Management Development Program for Women(MDPW). We are pleased to announce the availability of bursaries for this year. There are six Leacross Foundation/R. Bern full bursaries valued at $8,500 each available to women working in the Technology sector, the Not-for-Profit sector and Small Business Owners. In addition to these bursaries, three KPMG bursaries valued at $5,000 each are also available to support residents of Ontario who are paying their own tuition fees. Also, the  Dawn Rodger Family Bursary valued at $1,000 was established to annually support participants working in a non-profit, palliative care or social justice position.

 

The Management Development Program for Women (MDPW) is a part-time professional program in the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. The MDPW provides working women with an opportunity to develop their management and leadership skills in a supportive environment, while having an opportunity to discuss the particular challenges that women face in management. The program meets for three days a month over a period of nine months and covers all functional areas of business. It is designed to facilitate the transfer of learning from the classroom to the workplace. Workplace based assignments require participants to integrate new theories and skills with data and experience drawn from their own work setting.  Professional certification and university credits are achieved upon successful program completion.
