Here are a few reasons why ATEH needs your involvement:
1. ATEH members support the broader community with a collective focus on
ending homelessness by releasing an annual Report Card on Ending
Homelessness in Ottawa, engaging in non-partisan advocacy for those who are
homeless or "at risk" of homelessness and providing a local web presence for
our community, www.endhomelessnessottawa.ca. ATEH members support the Ask Me
Ottawa Campaign, giving a voice to the hundreds of volunteers, staff and
homeless individuals who share their inspirational stories.
2. ATEH proudly promotes its members. Both Individual and Organizational
Members have voting privileges that assist ATEH with strategic direction. A
member list is posted on the ATEH website. Organizational Members are listed
in the report card and may be profiled in ATEH publications.
3. ATEH offers training and awareness meetings. The Community Forum on
Homelessness takes place each fall and three other member meetings focus on
sector networking, trainings and information sharing. Members have unlimited
access to a homelessness and housing listserv to assist the sector with
cutting edge research and information dissemination.
Collaboration, awareness, advocacy, innovation will end homelessness. With
your support, ATEH members can make it happen faster. Member fees are
essential in these efforts as ATEH does not have charitable status.
