Please find below, from Crime Prevention Ottawa (CPO), a link to the Final
Report emerging from the June 2014 Conference on Safety and the Sex Trade in
Ottawa. 

 

Numerous recommendations were made by conference participants for community
actions – providing direction and focus for the types of collective actions
and collaborations we might undertake as a community to improve safety for
sex workers, residents and the community. Moving forward, the Alliance to
End Homelessness will be working with CPO as part of their focus on one of
the top two priority areas: safe, affordable housing and safe houses.

Taking action on safety and the sex trade

 

Crime Prevention Ottawa is taking action on recommendations emerging from
the June 2014 Conference on Safety and the Sex Trade in Ottawa.

 

The event brought together 140 community participants who provided 42
recommendations to promote safety in the changing legal context around the
sex trade. CPO is now exploring next steps on the themes that resonated the
most with participants.

Prévention du crime Ottawa prendra en considération les recommandations
reçues lors de la Conférence sur la sécurité et le commerce du sexe tenue en
juin 2014 à Ottawa.

 

L’événement a rassemblé 140 participants de la communauté qui ont avancé 42
propositions pour promouvoir la sécurité de l’industrie du sexe dans le
cadre du contexte juridique changeant. PCO réfléchit maintenant aux
prochaines étapes à prendre pour intégrer les thèmes qui ont suscité le plus
