Please join us in counting down! There are only 13 days left before the start of Mental Health Week, May 2-8. There's no missing it this year, because Canadians are GETTING LOUD for Mental Health. We are raising our voices to build awareness and support - for someone at work; for someone at home; for ourselves. And we are going to be heard from coast to coast to coast!
What does it mean to GET LOUD for Mental Health? Think of "getting loud" as one big public address system - a giant loud speaker - calling out to end discrimination and stigma and shame.
We will be keeping track - in real time - of how Canadians from province to province are raising their voices. During Mental Health Week, visit our website<http://www.mentalhealthweek.cmha.ca/> and tell us how you are GETTING LOUD. You could win one of 3 iPads.
We've also packaged up some great GET LOUD ideas in our GET LOUD TOOLKIT<https://mentalhealthweek.cmha.ca/files/2016/04/PublicToolkit-1.pdf>. Unpacking it is easy. Click to download the information. Upload the images. Share it with your friends, both online and off. Check it out at mentalhealthweek.ca<http://www.mentalhealthweek.cmha.ca>.
This is our 65th annual Mental Health Week! And it will be the loudest one yet. There are Mental Health Week events and activities in hundreds of communities across Canada. Visit our Mental Health Week website <http://www.mentalhealthweek.cmha.ca/> to find out what is going on in yours. At CMHA, we're proud to be the organization that started this tradition. And we're proud that Canadians have embraced it.
Even if we don't struggle with our own mental health, we all know - and often, love - someone who's affected. Let's make sure that people stop feeling shame due to mental illness. Let's make sure they don't think twice about getting the support and help they need.
It's time for all of us to GET LOUD. Mental Health Week<http://www.mentalhealthweek.cmha.ca>. May 2-8. It's right around the corner.
