Hello all!

I want to let you all know of a training opportunity that is coming up for current and potential volunteers. We will be offering two sessions of Intentional Peer Support Training. This is a certified training that is required in order for you to practice peer support with Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and/or Psychiatric Survivors of Ottawa (PSO).

Please note that this training is optional to volunteers interested in Talking About Mental Illness (TAMI). However, it is mandatory for volunteers interested in Partners for Progress (P4P). If you plan to apply to become a volunteer with CMHA, this training will give you higher chances of being accepted and recruited.

Important Notes:

*        You do not need to be an active volunteer with CMHA to participate in the training

*        You must attend all 6 days in the given session to receive a certificate

*        Regular breaks and (free) lunch will be provided

*        Bus tickets can be provided upon request

*        Registration is mandatory and can be done with Kamilla Riabko (contact below)

*        Space is limited and registration is free (CMHA will be subsidising the fee of $750/person).

Session one will be held on:
March 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 24

Session two will be held on:
March 29, 31
April 5, 7, 12, 14

Please note, you are to sign up for either session one, or session two. You are not required to attend both. You must, however, commit to attending all 6 days within a session. To register, please email or call Kamilla (info below). Time is still to be confirmed, but is expected to be 10:00am - 4:00pm each of the days.

Registration deadlines:
Session one > Must register by March 11
Session two > Must register by March 28
