Home takeovers workshops available

Crime Prevention Ottawa has partnered with the Ottawa-Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities to tackle the issue of home takeovers.  If you would like to book a workshop for your staff or for your clients, please contact CPO at Ottawa.ca<mailto:CPO at Ottawa.ca>.  The free workshops can be tailored to the specific needs of your agency or community.

Each video highlights a different kind of home takeover including those related to general isolation, developmental disabilities, addictions, youth, gangs and older adults.

The home takeovers guidebook is available to service providers for strategies around how to manage these complex situations. It includes suggestions for prevention, identification, intervention and aftercare.

Ateliers disponibles sur les prises de possession de domicile

Prévention du Crime Ottawa a abordé la question des prises de possession de domicile en partenariat avec l’Association d’Ottawa-Carleton pour personnes ayant une déficience intellectuelle (AOCPDI). Si vous souhaitez réserver un atelier pour votre personnel ou pour vos clients, s’il vous plaît contacter PCO at ottawa.ca<mailto:PCO at ottawa.ca>.  Les ateliers gratuits peuvent être adaptés aux besoins spécifiques de votre organisme ou de la communauté.

Présentations et de la formation sur le sujet pour les fournisseurs de service et les résidents
 Chaque vidéo présente un type différent de prise de possession de domicile, notamment celles relatives à l’isolement général, aux déficiences intellectuelles, aux dépendances, aux jeunes, aux bandes de rue et aux personnes âgées. Les fournisseurs de services trouveront dans le guide sur les prises de possession de domicile des stratégies pour gérer ces situations complexes. Le guide suggère des mesures pour prévenir ces situations, les détecter, intervenir et faire le suivi.
