Atelier de la Stratégie des partenariats de lutte contre l’itinérance: une approche axée sur les résultats à la Conférence Nationale de l’Alliance canadienne pour mettre fin à l’itinérance
La Stratégie des partenariats de lutte contre l’itinérance tiendra un atelier à la Conférence nationale de l’Alliance canadienne pour mettre fin à l’itinérance<http://conference-fr.caeh.ca/> à Hamilton, en Ontario, le 5 novembre 2018 de 13h30 à 17h.
La séance a pour but d’offrir au gouvernement du Canada l’occasion d’appuyer les collectivités à faire la transition vers une approche axée sur les résultats pour aborder l'itinérance. Grâce à cette approche, les collectivités bénéficieront de plus de souplesse quant à l'allocation des fonds afin de mieux répondre aux priorités et besoins locaux tout en travaillant à atteindre les résultats convenus à l'échelle communautaire.
Les participants à la conférence sont encouragés à participer à cet atelier, car cette séance est une occasion d’exprimer leur avis en ce qui concerne le développement des résultats à l'échelle communautaire. Les commentaires guideront la mise en œuvre du nouveau programme Vers un chez-soi.
Tout le monde compte: le dénombrement ponctuel de 2018 de l’itinérance a lieu partout au Canada
Le deuxième dénombrement ponctuel national coordonné a eu lieu le 1er mars au 30 avril 2018 dans diverses collectivités du Canada. L’objectif du dénombrement ponctuel 2018 était de permettre aux collectivités de mieux comprendre l’itinérance et de lutter contre celle-ci. L’information recueillie contribuera à l’amélioration de la compréhension du portrait national de l’itinérance.
Les collectivités ont commencé à dévoiler les résultats du dénombrement ponctuel 2018 à travers des infographes et des rapports finaux. Si votre communauté a participé à Tout le monde compte, il est possible de partager vos résultats avec les autres communautés sur la bibliothèque des rapports du dénombrement ponctuel sur l’Espace de travail communautaire sur l’itinérance<https://workspaceonhomelessness.ca/>. Sixième édition du Prix pour le bénévolat du Canada
À chaque année, le programme des Prix du bénévolat du Canada (PBC) reconnaît les contributions importantes des bénévoles, des organismes sans but lucratif et des entreprises à travers le pays. Cette année, EDSC a reçu un total de 266 nominations qui font actuellement l’objet d’évaluations. Il est étonnant et motivant d’apprendre tout ce que ces bénévoles font à travers le pays pour améliorer le bien-être des personnes et de leurs communautés.
En 2017, lors de la cérémonie PBC, des lauréats et des intervenants se sont rencontrés au cours d’un forum de discussion pour partager leurs connaissances, expériences et idées sur la manière d’engager et d’inspirer les personnes à contribuer dans leur communauté. Le dialogue a été passionné car chacun a apporté ses pensées et ses idées. EDSC tient à partager le rapport «Prix Canada 150 pour le bénévolat : Voix du terrain»<http://www12.esdc.gc.ca/sgpe-pmps/servlet/sgpp-pmps-pub?lang=eng&curjsp=p.5bd.2t.1.3ls@-fra.jsp&curactn=dwnld&pid=62996&did=5313> qui vise à capturer une compilation de ce dialogue.
Ce rapport offre des idées pour aider les gens à trouver de nouvelles façons de changer les choses dans leurs collectivités. Aider les autres peut être une puissante source d'inspiration, n’hésitez pas à le partager!

OrgCode est présentement dans le processus de réviser et mettre à jour l’outil VI-SPDAT/SPDAT. Auriez-vous de la rétroaction à ce sujet? Complétez ce sondage d’ici le 30 septembre pour assurer que votre voix soit entendue.

The Homelessness Partnering Strategy: An Outcomes-Based Approach Workshop at the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness National Conference
The Homelessness Partnering Strategy will be hosting a workshop at the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness National Conference<http://conference.caeh.ca/> in Hamilton, Ontario on November 5, 2018 from 1:30 to 5:00pm.
The purpose of this session is to provide an opportunity for the Government of Canada to support communities in the transition to an outcomes-based approach to address homelessness. Through this approach, communities will have more flexibility to allocate funds to better meet local needs and priorities, while working towards agreed-upon community-level outcomes.
Conference participants are encouraged to participate in this workshop, as this session provides an opportunity for conference attendees to give their input into the development of the community-wide outcomes. The comments will help guide the implementation of the new Reaching Home program.
Everyone Counts: 2018 Point-in-Time Counts of Homelessness in Canada
The second national coordinated Point-in-Time count took place from March 1 to April 30, 2018, in communities across Canada. The goal of the 2018 Point-in-Time count was to enable communities to better understand and address homelessness in their communities. The information will also contribute to a national portrait of homelessness.
Communities have begun unveiling the results of their 2018 Point-in-Time count through infographics and final reports. If your community participated in Everyone Counts, it is possible to share your results with other communities on the Community Workspace on Homelessness<https://workspaceonhomelessness.ca/> Point-in-Time Count library. Sixth edition of Canada’s Volunteer Awards
Each year, the Canada’s Volunteer Awards (CVA) program recognizes the significant contributions that volunteers, not-for-profit organizations and businesses across the country make to their communities. This year, ESDC received a total of 266 nominations that are currently being assessed. It is amazing and motivating to hear of all the good that these volunteers are doing across the country to improve the well-being of people and communities.
In 2017, during the CVA ceremony, recipients and stakeholders came together at a discussion forum to share their knowledge, experience, and ideas about how to engage and inspire people to contribute in their community. ESDC is pleased to share with you the “Canada 150 Volunteer Awards: Voices from the Field” report<http://www12.esdc.gc.ca/sgpe-pmps/servlet/sgpp-pmps-pub?lang=eng&curjsp=p.5bd.2t.1.3ls@-eng.jsp&curactn=dwnld&pid=62996&did=5312&_ga=2.163365692.1806431498.1533567243-1529035375.1531167424> that aims to capture a compilation of those dialogues.
This report offers ideas on how to help people find new ways of making a difference in their communities. Helping others can be a powerful source of empowerment; do not be shy to share it!
